Living Ropes

Living Ropes is a bi-weekly Shibari rope jam in Essen, with a focus on emotional bondage and community exchange.

At Living Ropes you are explicitly invited to tie as loudly - sensually - intensively as you like. Erotic bondage and BDSM also have their place here.

The rope jam is limited to 20 people, including the organizers. We are a very mixed group with different levels of experience.

Our location is small and cozy, there are cushions, carpets and yoga mats. We have four bamboos and five hashiras that you are welcome to use.
Nevertheless, it is best to bring a blanket on which you can tie.

The location is at ground level. If you need access to barrier-free toilets, please let us know in advance.

There will be a "bring-your-own" buffet. So feel free to bring snacks.
There will be free tea and coffee.

At the beginning of our meeting, we ask each participant to contribute towards the room rental and materials such as our library and the ropes you can borrow from us. Depending on your personal situation, you can give €5, €10, or €15.

Accessibility:

The rope jam takes place on the first floor without stairs, the entrance door is an accessible door of 90cm.

Accessible toilets are accessible via an elevator, we just need to know in advance to get the key.

We play melodic background music without singing, have indirect lighting and soundproofing. There is no loud talking in the main room, and there is also the option to retreat to the storage room.
